COLONNADE INSURANCE

Colonnade Insurance is an insurance company based in Luxembourg, active in general insurance. Colonnade is wholly owned by Fairfax and was established to strategically expand Fairfax's insurance business in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. 
Colonnade is a licensed insurer for 17 of the 18 compulsory classes in General Insurance (excluding 10 - Motor Third Party Liability). Kolonad is licensed to provide insurance services in all member states of the European Union. The company currently maintains and forecasts maintaining a strong solvency ratio, well above the required levels. Kolonad's reinsurance is underwritten by leading reinsurers with first class financial guarantees - Swiss Re, Hanover Re, Munich Re, BRIT, AWAC, Lloyd's syndicate, AIG.
Colonnade operates through branches in Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Poland, as well as through a subsidiary in Ukraine. Kolonad has over 450 experienced professionals.
Products are available for both private individuals and corporate clients. It has an A- financial stability rating for three years. The registered capital is EUR 9 500 000.
