In connection with the preparation for the transition to the Еuro and for greater transparency and convenience for our customers, as of March 26, 2025, INSURANCE BROKER LEX INS EOOD begins to display total amounts due on insurance policies, receipts, and other documents in both BGN and Еuro.
It is important to note that the official conversion rate has not yet been definitively confirmed. This step aims to:
The dual display does not affect policy terms and will not impact the price of insurance or amounts due. This dual display will be mandatory only for price information that is intended for and provided to consumers. During this period, banknotes and coins in BGN continue to be legal tender in the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria.
These rules were adopted on March 26, 2025, in accordance with the requirements of the Introduction of Euro into the Republic of Bulgaria Act (IERBA) and enter into force as of the date of the Decision of the Council of the European Union on the adoption of the euro by the Republic of Bulgaria, adopted in accordance with Art. 140, para. 2 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union.
